Facebook - the new LinkedIn?

What starts out as an interesting post about how Facebook has supplanted LinkedIn as THE business networking site in Silly Valley, morphs into a debate amongst many readers about the relative merits of various social networking sites, attacks/defenses of MySpace, boosters of Bebo, Ning, and various other new platforms, and sociological analysis of the development of this space in general.
