Politics, Culture, Technology
Stories about cool events I've attended, musings about social media and other technology, and commentary about people, issues, ideas, whatever. I've had a web site since 1994, at my own domain since 1997, and switched it to blog format in 2005. Now, in 2008, I've added labels, shuffled things around a bit and fixed some style and UI quirks - hence 2.1. Watch for more widgets and microformats....
I'll be sitting in on percussion with a good friend of mine this Wednesday, playing a show to benefit musicians hurt by Hurricane Katrina. Margie Perez and Disaster Relief will be playing at the
Deej Out at Domku concert series, for the benefit of
MusicCares Hurricane Relief Fund.
I'll be playing assorted percussion (bongos or congas, washboard, shakers), as one of an all-star cast of guest musicians. This is part of a series of shows that Margie has hosted around the DC area, since being displaced from New Orleans herself. She's already raised over $3700 and has several more shows coming up. Come out to support this worthy cause.
(I'm also the webmaster for the
Deej web site -- but I didn't design it, I just update the listings.)
